A couple new Little Boxes for sale:
Ugh I seem to be coming down with a cold. I don't think I'm going to get to much art-making this week.

Buzzards
It's been quite a while since there's been a gallery opening I've felt was worth attending but I'm really glad that I attended the "American Realities" show at the New Image Art Gallery this past weekend:
Lydia Fong (aka Barry McGee)
Clare Rojas:
Her work is truly amazing... I wish I had gotten better pics but it was pretty packed (though not as much as I would have thought)

for those
I don't really discuss my personal life too much on this blog as it is really just a place for me to share and discuss images but I feel like somehow it's relevant to divulge the fact that I'm pregnant. I'm only about 13 weeks along and it's been really difficult for me to tell people because I've never been the type of person to make a big deal over things. So here I share this news with you, internet. I don't expect things to change much around here. It will stay as an art-related blog.
Thanks for reading!

in the west
Last Saturday I attended my first opening at the Los Angeles Art Association's Gallery 825 to support Sara Brum's first show with them. I was totally blown away by all of the work!
Sara's piece is the lower piece:
Beautiful portraits by Susy Keely
Amazing little dresses made out of photographs by Gwen Samuels

Etsy love
This morning I was pleased to find a mini interview posted that I participated in for the Storque on Etsy. The article is about the struggles with balancing school and running a business on Etsy. Although I've been through with school for quite some time they were still interested in hearing about how my university experience influenced my current Etsy business. The bulk of the article is about one of my favorite artists and Etsy sellers, Caitlin Shearer.
Please check it out!
Thanks to Etsy and Caitlin for all the support! Here are a couple of my favorites from Caitlin:
