bunny greetings
I've been mentioning these little greeting cards. They have been really fun to play around with and I've posted a few more on Etsy.
I'm hoping those who receive them decide to keep and frame these tiny watercolors.
Still not sure how long I'll be making these.

Little Warrior
I've mentioned Little Warrior before. Here's a blurb from their website:
"Designed by Maggie Fox with tees curated by artists selected by Mitra Khayyam, the unisex pieces for little men and women alike reflect a laid back Southern California sensibility."
Today was the opening of the Little Warrior boutique in West Hollywood and it's pretty adorable up in there. I snagged the above top for my little warrior.
And how awesome is it that they are carrying some of my hand-painted cards?!
Those little mocs made by Maggie Fox kill me.

Gotta love the title of Nancy Fallon's Etsy treasury where she featured my Jack Rabbits print.

I've decided to try doing some hand-painted stationary. I'm not sure how long I'll do this so get em while they last!

other things on walls
Last weekend I was invited to see Sage Vaughn's show at the Known Gallery in West Hollywood.
You can read about the show on the gallery's website but basically the textiles are based on recent collage work that Sage has been working on. Interesting theme for sure.
The textiles were $300 each and there were 3 of each design. My lucky friend Mitra snagged this one:

I heart
Inspired by this upcoming Valentine's day I created some heart paintings in watercolor. They are each original, unique and cut straight from my 7x10" archival Arches watercolor block.
This would make an awesome Valentine's day or any occasion gift for a friend, partner or family member and would be adorable framed in a nursery.

the walk
It's been forever since I've done a post about art shows. I haven't been to any notable art shows/walks in quite sometime. I'd like to say it's just a result of being a busy mom but the truth is that I needed space from the whole scene for a little while.
Last night I dragged my daughter out with me for her first art walk in Culver City and was pleased to find that she loved it. I was happy to see some art in person.
The main event for me was the Esao Andrews and Allison Sommers show at Thinkspace. Here are some of my favs:
Esao Andrews
Allison Sommers (nice reflection)
Detail:
I really love this piece.
I didn't get a good pic of the tiny matchboxes but they were awesome and you can see them along with the rest of the work here.
We happened upon the Koplin Del Rio Gallery and got to see some work by Kenny Harris who I had never heard of but we really liked how he displayed his studies and sketches along with the final work.
And special bonus image of my daughter running around the gallery.
It's nice to be posting again in this space for anyone who is still listening. I toyed with the idea of trashing this blog and starting over but I'm not quite done here. Maybe Tumblr would be a good option? Any thoughts are appreciated.
