The low bass and high treble are left flat

I drew this a couple weeks ago while waiting for the Ditty Bops to go on at McCabe's guitar shop. Who doesn't love an upright bass? I miss playing an instrument.

So I'm now on my "break" from work for a few weeks. This week I've been mostly decompressing and getting life shit done like getting my car serviced and smog checked, taking care of stuff at the bank, and tons of cleaning and laundry. I've been drawing a lot and prepping some wood for paintings for next week. I'm certain that my time off won't be enough there's way too much I need and want to do. Hoping my head doesn't explode from all the stress of having time off.

dear mom, school is great!

my time is sooooo thinly stretched. I haven't had a weekend off in two weeks and it looks like I'll be working this weekend too but by next "moleskine thursday" I'll be free for three weeks.

Things I will do for sure:

-move studio into the bigger room
-finish my current painting
-start a new painting
-put up my new website
-taxes
-add some artwork that has been piling up to the etsy shop
-cooking and baking up a storm
-spending some time with the family
-catching up with friends
-take the car in for a smog check (I've never had to do this before)

Things I will try to fit in:

-catching some gallery shows around town
-camping trip if it warms up
-painting the new studio
-committing to hanging some artwork up
-learning to sew
-knitting
-cleaning and organizing in general

Not much to share on this drippy Thursday. There is some time off coming for me in the distance and it's like this light that i'm inching towards way too slowly...
I can't stop drawing these geometric triangles lately.

A completely fantastic show. So good in fact that it blew a fuse in my brain and I don't even know what to say about it. I laughed, I cried, I almost fell on the canoe but I still managed to swim through the crowd to see this awesome installation and it was well worth it.
